What is Hypnotherapy?
As some may not be as familiar with this method, it's nice to have an idea of how it works beforehand. First, don't worry, it's not like what you see on stage. I'm not going to make you bark like a dog or cluck like a chicken! Nor is it mind-control. Hypnotherapy just uses the body's natural state of hypnosis to help address and treat behavior on a subconscious level.
What's fascinating is we are actually in hypnosis more often then we may think. If you were ever driving and missed your exit, or have been watching a movie and have been fully engulfed in what was happening, you've been in hypnosis! It allows our conscious mind to take a comfy, cozy, relaxing backseat and allows our subconscious mind to take center stage.
It's important to know that you are always in control of what is happening and aware of what is being said at all times. The mind doesn't accept what it doesn't know or believe, so you would never be open to anything you wouldn't normally be open to.
What to Expect
Before we begin the Hypnotherapy part of our session, as a group, we'll discuss the big concerns and what it is that is troubling most. This can be finances, career, family, or just wanting to feel better prepared to take on what's to come. We'll also go over how we wish to see ourselves once we overcome these obstacles and talk about how we can become more aligned with the desired outcomes we wish to see.
With this Hypnotherapy session, we will explore different types of hypnosis techniques to prepare for the deeply relaxing portion of the event. Once this part begins, I will guide you through relaxing imagery intended to assist in working through and letting go of current concerns, bringing forth confidence and inspiring peace of mind moving forward in your daily life.
The BIG Question: "Can I be hypnotized?"
Since this is a natural state, the simple answer is yes! However, each person receives and processes information differently, which can affect how one is hypnotized. In this session, we'll break down the process of how hypnosis works and how we'll use it therapeutically.
